SCROLL TO CONNECT THE POSSIBILITIES
THE BIGGER PICTURE

Great people.
Better tools.
More possibility.

Start with the part of your day that should be easier.

01 / THE OPPORTUNITY

Your business has grown.
Have your tools?

The spreadsheet that needs updating twice. The photograph buried in a chat. The customer who cannot find the next step. Small frustrations can fill a working day.

CUSTOMERS

Make the next
step obvious.

A clear website, useful information and an enquiry journey that helps people act.

PEOPLE

Give good people
better tools.

A focused workspace for the task in front of them, on the devices they already understand.

OPERATIONS

See what needs
your attention.

Useful context, assigned responsibilities and a record of what happened next.

02 / FROM FRICTION TO FLOW

One clear journey.
Every person connected.

A receiving workflow is one example. Follow an item from the delivery bay to a manager’s decision.

01 / IDENTIFY

Right there.
In their hands.

Scan a supported label, check the catalogue match and confirm the quantity. Staff can record what is in front of them, where the work happens.

Scan → match → confirm
02 / RECORD

See a problem?
Keep the evidence.

A damage photo, condition score and short note stay with the delivery. Drafts can be checked and corrected before submission.

The item. The context. One record.
03 / DECIDE

The right manager.
A clear next step.

Route a damaged or essential item to its assigned manager. They see the evidence and record what the staff member should do next.

Less chasing. More clarity.
04 / CLOSE THE LOOP

Good work.
Made visible.

The staff member sees the decision and their completed activity. The manager gets a clear history. Owners can receive a summary of the work that matters.

A record people can be proud of.

Fictional example. Try the actual workflow in the interactive demo below.

One delivery. One shared story.Try it for yourself ↗
03 / DESIGNED FOR PEOPLE

Let people finish
the day thinking,
“I did good work.”

The best tool makes the person using it feel capable.

Clear instructions. Fewer repeated entries. A visible record of what they completed, and help when something needs a decision.

Progress with context.

We design activity views around useful work, accuracy and collaboration. A scan count alone cannot tell the whole story of someone’s shift.

Built with the people doing the job.

Your team helps shape the workflow. We test the first version against their actual day, then improve what gets in their way.

04 / A PRODUCT TAKING SHAPE

Don’t just picture it.
Put it through its paces.

Our goods-in idea now has a working demonstration. Made by ha., with a future as its own focused product.

INTERACTIVE DEMO

Goods in.
Decisions out.

Scan a sample QR on a phone, record damaged stock and see it reach the manager’s laptop. Send a decision back to close the loop.

Open the working demo ↗

Fictional data only. Connect a phone and laptop with a shared two-hour session. Submitted deliveries and manager decisions sync between them. No real accounts, live stock changes, emails or push notifications.

Currently demonstrates receiving and damage decisions. Goods-out, customer accounts, integrations and commercial licensing would be separate future development. No product subscription is on sale here.

05 / THREE WAYS TO WORK WITH HA.

Your next step.
Clearly defined.

A better website. A simpler working day. A repeatable tool. Choose the outcome first; we agree the scope, price and rights before building.

01 / WEBSITES & LANDING PAGES

Turn interest
into a next step.

A clear home for your business, a campaign landing page or a more useful customer journey.

  • You pay: an agreed project fee, with written milestones
  • You receive: the identified bespoke deliverables and a practical handover; third-party licences are listed
  • Next: explore a website budget from £500 to £20,000+
02 / BESPOKE BUSINESS APPS

Less chasing.
More doing.

A private staff tool, owner dashboard or customer app, designed around an agreed business process.

  • You pay: separately scoped discovery and development
  • You receive: the agreed bespoke rights, source and handover; reusable components are identified
  • Next: define one workflow, its users and the systems it needs
See an owner workspace ↗
03 / HA. SOFTWARE PRODUCTS

One useful tool.
Your way of working.

Our reusable software, configured for your business. Goods-in is the first working demonstration of this direction.

  • You would pay: agreed setup and a software subscription or licence
  • You keep: your branding and business data; ha. retains the product core
  • Today: explore the demo. No product subscription is on sale yet

Monthly support is a service choice, not an ownership model. For bespoke work it is optional. A future product plan would state its included hosting, updates and support, plus export and cancellation arrangements. We never turn an exclusive commission into a resold product without the agreed rights.

06 / HOW WE GET THERE

A big next step.
A clear way through.

You bring the business knowledge. We turn the first useful version into a plan you can understand.

01

We listen.

Walk us through the task, the people and the frustration. What would a better day look like?

02

We shape it.

Agree the priorities, scope, dependencies and price. See the proposed journey before the full build.

03

We build & test.

Review usable stages with your team. Check the important tasks on the agreed devices.

04

You move forward.

Receive the agreed handover and tutorials. Add more when it makes sense for your business.

AFTER LAUNCH / STILL YOURS

A website you can use.
Not one you’re scared to touch.

We plan the editing experience with you. Agree what your team needs to change, and we build the right controls into the project.

01 / EVERYDAY EDITS

Keep it current.

Manage agreed text, images, services and other editable content through a straightforward admin area. What you can edit is listed in your proposal.

02 / YOUR OWN GUIDES

Press play. Follow along.

Short video tutorials for your actual website or workflow. Replay them yourself or share them with the next person on your team.

03 / OPTIONAL MONTHLY CARE

Support that fits.

Choose an ongoing plan if you want help with agreed updates and maintenance. Tasks, allowance, response arrangements and price are confirmed before you sign up.

04 / ROOM TO GROW

Add the next useful thing.

Smaller agreed additions at £60/hour, with an estimate first. New layouts, integrations and larger features are scoped separately.

THE DETAILS / THAT MAKE IT DEPENDABLE

Impressive to open.
Practical to run.

Premium means choosing carefully, testing properly and making responsibilities clear. We specify the right foundations for your project before you commit.

01 / RELIABLE FOUNDATIONS

Built for the job.

Hosting and services assessed for support, performance, data location and recovery needs. Supported devices with a suitable warranty, security-update life and tested compatibility. Purchases and recurring costs approved first.

02 / PRIVATE BY DESIGN

The right people. The right access.

Plan sign-in, role permissions, backups and a restore check around the data involved. Your proposal names the security, update and recovery responsibilities. No promise that any system is risk-free.

03 / CONNECTED WITH CARE

Useful connections.

We assess authorised APIs, account access, licences and exports before promising an integration. Email, finance and private business systems only connect where the service permits it and you authorise the access.

04 / YOUR IDENTITY FIRST

Your business on screen.

Your name, colours and agreed workflow take the lead. A discreet, clickable “Powered by ha.” credit can sit at the bottom, with its placement agreed in your proposal.

Powered byha.

Your website.
Your starting budget.

This is a website project planner: £500–£20,000+. Explore a starting scope, reserve room for extras, then agree a written proposal. Bespoke apps and ha. product licences are priced separately.

01 / SET YOUR COMFORTABLE STARTING POINT

Start small.
Build bigger.

Start with a focused landing page or explore a larger website. The slider illustrates an initial build budget, not a monthly subscription.

Your website build budget£1,500
£500£20,000+
02 / SEE WHAT COULD FIT

Loading your options…

Choose a budget to explore the shape of your project.

An illustration of possible scope, not an automatic quote. We confirm deliverables, total price and timing before you commit.

03 / Make it work harder.

Extras use part of the same budget. App options are planning allowances for separately reviewed work, not a promise of a complete app. A higher slider value never automatically includes iOS, Android or both.

    Loading extras…

Illustrative planning allowances, not fixed extra prices or a quotation. They reserve part of the budget shown above; they are not added on top. Complexity and overlapping work are reviewed together. £20,000+ uses £20,000 for this illustration. Hardware, subscriptions, transaction fees and taxes are confirmed separately before commitment.

Learn it once. Replay it anytime.

Update the agreed text, images and services through your own admin area. Video tutorials show you how. Replay them anytime, or share them with your team.

    Keep building when you’re ready.

Agreed smaller follow-up tasks are £60 per hour. We agree the task and estimated time before starting. Optional monthly support, consultation and larger additions are quoted separately. We agree any monthly tasks, allowance and response arrangements in writing.

Hosting, domains, paid licences and maintenance are separate. The examples assume supplied content and an agreed design direction. More complex features need review; a larger budget is an opportunity to expand the scope, not a guarantee of every feature. Required costs and tax treatment are confirmed in the written proposal.

    Your bespoke build.
    Your digital foundations.

You already look after customers, staff and the day-to-day costs. For a commissioned bespoke build, we make the rights, accounts and handover clear. Licences for our own products are a different offer, with separate terms.

    01 / ACCOUNTS

    Your name on the essentials.

Your domain is registered to you. Hosting, merchant and developer accounts are opened in your organisation’s name where the provider supports it. We work through delegated access, not shared passwords.

    02 / HANDOVER

A build you can take forward.

For the agreed bespoke work, handover includes source files, setup instructions, an asset and licence list, agreed data exports and video tutorials. The signed agreement transfers our rights in the identified bespoke deliverables after payment.

    03 / CHOICE

    Stay because it helps.

You can maintain the delivered work yourself or appoint another developer. We do not charge a percentage of your sales under this build offer. Optional support and further work are agreed separately.

Know what you own. Know what you license.

Your branding and supplied content remain yours. Open-source software, reusable components and third-party platforms keep their own licences. You control your accounts and agreed deliverables; you do not acquire ownership of a hosting provider or payment network. Domain renewals, infrastructure, maintenance and provider fees still apply.

A low-cost builder can be the right choice. Compare domain registration, export options, admin access, portability, licence restrictions and ongoing fees—not just the headline price. Clear records and transferable rights can help a future handover or sale, but provider consents may still be needed; a website does not guarantee business value.

Private apps, existing devices and the practical details

Open a link. Sign in. Get to work.

A secure browser app is often the simplest starting point: no separate download, with camera permission only when required. A home-screen shortcut can make it easy to return. Offline use, push notifications and device features are checked for the agreed phones and browsers.

Private installs, when you need them.

Native apps can use Apple’s private business distribution or managed Google Play for eligible organisations. We scope enrolment, review and device management first. An unlisted link alone does not make an app private; sign-in and permissions still matter. No unknown download links or disabled security protections.

Your devices. Ready for the job.

We can quote to configure and test agreed company-owned phones, laptops or tablets—for example, four iPads at warehouse stations. We recommend supported, reliable equipment and test the agreed workflow on it. Device condition, warranty and support life are specified before purchase; refurbished equipment is only proposed if you want that option.

    Start with one useful workflow.

Device purchase, licences, connectivity, management, replacements and ongoing support are separate. We agree exactly which devices and features are supported. Larger operational systems need discovery and testing before a delivery commitment.

    HERTFORDSHIRE / PERSONALLY INVOLVED

Tell us how your day works.

We’re based in Stevenage, serving Hertfordshire and beyond, with the team behind HertsPartners. You speak directly with the founder while we plan your project. We listen first, explain the trade-offs in plain English and agree a manageable first version.

Human-led design, development and testing, supported by AI tools where appropriate. We remain responsible for the agreed work. Client confidential information is not put into external AI tools without an agreed data-handling basis.

    Local understanding.
    Built around your day.

Based in Stevenage, serving Hertfordshire and beyond. We start by listening to the people who know your business, then work out where better design and software can help.

    01 / A REAL CONVERSATION

    You know your business.

You and your team bring the industry knowledge. We bring design and development judgment. Decisions are made together, with the right specialist involved where the agreed project needs one.

    02 / LOCAL CONTEXT

Close to the businesses we serve.

Our work on HertsPartners gives us a local community perspective. We ask about your customers, your team and what happens on a normal working day. Any on-site visit or device setup is scoped with you.

    03 / A USEFUL FIRST RELEASE

Start where it makes a difference.

Prioritise a clear customer action or a task your staff repeat. Review usable stages, test with the people doing the job and leave with practical guidance. Further features can follow when they justify the investment.

You speak directly with the founder during planning. Specialist delivery, on-site work and support arrangements are confirmed in the proposal; we do not imply an unlimited team or include advertising reach with a software build.

    Good questions.
    Clear answers.

From your first idea to your first login. These explain our proposed approach; your written scope identifies exactly what your project includes.

01 / Your idea & what is possible

My idea is not in your examples. Can I request something completely custom?

Yes. Choose “Bespoke app / custom software” and describe what happens today, who uses it and what you want to improve. The checklist is inspiration, not a catalogue of limits. We assess feasibility, dependencies and cost before committing to a build.

Can I ask for a website and an app together?

Yes. Use the bespoke route for a connected project and describe both. We identify shared content and accounts, then scope the website, backend and each app separately. A website budget does not automatically include Apple or Android apps.

Could this replace our spreadsheet or repetitive admin?

Possibly. Show us the steps and where errors, retyping or delays occur, using fictional or redacted examples at first. We can explore a focused workflow with forms, records, approvals or summaries. We establish a baseline and agree what improvement to test rather than promise a saving we have not measured.

Can it connect to our existing email, payments, stock or other private systems?

We assess the exact products, supported APIs or exports, licences and authorised account access first. Some connections are straightforward; others need paid access or may not be possible. We agree what data moves, who can see it and how failures are handled before building.

Will you help us decide what to build?

Yes. We listen to the founder, managers and people doing the work, then suggest a manageable first version. Your team supplies operational expertise; we contribute design and technical judgment. Specialist advice or paid discovery is agreed when the project requires it.

    02 / Access, control & ownership

How do I, as the founder or CEO, log in to my website or app?

We agree the management area during planning. At handover you receive the correct address or approved app access route, your own named administrator account and a walkthrough. We help you sign in, set up any agreed multi-factor authentication and understand recovery. You do not need to edit code to use the management features we have built for you.

Can staff, managers and owners see different information?

Yes, where role-based access is included in the scope. We map who should create, view, approve or export each kind of record and test those rules. Being a manager does not automatically give access to all personal, finance or HR information.

Can I edit the site myself without breaking it?

We agree the content you need to change—such as services, text, photos, menus or opening hours—and provide suitable editing controls. Video tutorials show the actual process. New functionality and changes outside those controls need a separate development task.

Do I own the finished website or app?

For a bespoke commission, the agreement identifies the rights transferred after the agreed payments, source files and handover. Third-party and reusable components keep their stated licences. For a ha. product, you license our software: your branding and business data remain yours, while ha. retains the product core. These are different offers, made clear before you commit.

Can it be private and work on phones and laptops?

A private browser app can use a sign-in address on the agreed devices without a separate app download. Apple, Android, offline operation and managed private distribution are separately scoped where needed. A hidden link alone is not security: access controls must protect the data.

Will it look like our business, and can we use another developer later?

We agree your branding and any discreet linked “Powered by ha.” credit. Bespoke handover identifies source, setup instructions, accounts and component licences so another developer can maintain the agreed work. A licensed ha. product follows its own access, export and exit terms; it does not include ownership of the core source.

03 / Getting completely up and running

What if I do not understand hosting, domains or technical accounts?

We explain which accounts you need, who owns them, their costs and who renews them. Where appropriate, accounts are set up in your business’s name and you invite us with the access needed. We guide setup and handover; never put passwords, API keys or real customer records in this enquiry form.

Will you help with installation, staff training and the first login?

Yes—we plan the rollout, not just the screen design. Your proposal lists setup tasks, supported devices, initial access checks, training or video tutorials and who signs off readiness. Hardware, on-site visits and larger training sessions are itemised. We confirm your team can complete the agreed core tasks before project acceptance.

Can you supply and set up phones, tablets or scanners?

We can scope supported equipment, configuration and workflow testing. You approve the specification, quantities, warranty, support life and costs before purchase. Equipment is not included in a software allowance unless expressly stated. We do not assume a phone camera can read every label in every workplace.

Can you move our existing content or data?

We first review lawful access, export formats, data quality and what must be retained. Migration, backups, checks and any downtime are planned explicitly. We use fictional data for early development and agree secure handling before receiving real records.

How do we know it works before launch?

We write down the important tasks and supported devices, show usable stages and test those journeys with you. Permissions, key integrations and recovery responsibilities are checked where included. You review against agreed acceptance criteria; store releases and third-party approvals have separate dependencies.

    04 / Budget, timing & ongoing help

What does the budget questionnaire actually price?

The website slider illustrates an initial website scope and reserves room for selected extras. The bespoke route asks for a development budget without inventing a feature bundle. Product enquiries ask about setup and monthly preferences. None is a quote, order or guarantee of availability; a reviewed proposal comes next.

What if I have a small budget or need to build in stages?

Tell us what you can comfortably invest and which outcome matters first. We may propose a focused landing page, discovery, a prototype or a smaller first release. We explain what is excluded and what a later phase would need. Staged delivery and payment milestones are agreed in writing.

What ongoing costs should I expect?

Depending on the project: hosting, domains, storage, email, paid licences, payment processing, app accounts or device management. We identify known costs and usage assumptions before commitment. Optional bespoke support is separate; a product licence would specify which services are included.

Do you offer ongoing support or smaller changes after launch?

Yes. Optional monthly support for bespoke work is scoped with tasks, allowance, response arrangements and price. Smaller agreed follow-up tasks are £60/hour with an estimate and approval before starting. Larger features are quoted separately. Product support would follow the product’s own service terms.

Can you promise a delivery date or more sales?

We agree a schedule after reviewing scope, capacity, customer inputs and external dependencies. We can design and test a clearer customer journey, but we do not guarantee sales, rankings or store approval. Changes and delays are discussed with you.

Is this form live, and what happens after I submit?

Your brief is saved privately for the ha. team to review. Keep the reference shown after submission. We use the reply address you provide to discuss the project; submitting creates no order, payment or subscription.

PROJECT BOUNDARIES / WRITTEN AGREEMENT REQUIRED

    Clear from the beginning.

Proposed terms for review. No order, contract or payment can be made here. The final project agreement and any relevant consumer or data-processing terms must be completed before accepting work.

    Who you are dealing with

ha. and HertsApps are trading names of 1STKLASS LTD, company number 16619410, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: Suite 468, 80A Ruskin Avenue, Welling, Greater London, DA16 3QQ, United Kingdom. Our delivery team is based in Hertfordshire; the registered office is our legal address. The signed order identifies the project contacts and notice addresses.

    Proposal, scope and change control

This preview and budget planner are invitations to discuss a project, not a quotation or contract. Work begins only after both parties agree a written order, deliverables, price, supported devices, acceptance criteria, dependencies and payment milestones. Selected extras use illustrative allowances inside the chosen budget. Hardware, licences, taxes and running costs are itemised before commitment. Changes need written scope, price and schedule approval before extra work starts.

    Payments and client inputs

Choose an upfront or milestone preference, or request an upfront fee plus 12 monthly payments for individual review. No extended payment arrangement is offered or approved by this form. The final order must state eligibility, the cash price, total payable, tax, due dates, any charges, cancellation, default arrangements and when agreed bespoke rights transfer. Build repayments are separate from recurring services. Due dates and what earns each milestone are written down. You supply authorised content, designated decision-makers and delegated access to required accounts. We request access through official account invitations or a secure secret-sharing process; never send passwords or API keys in this form. Delays or missing inputs are discussed and schedules adjusted reasonably. We may pause affected work after notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve unpaid, undisputed amounts or missing essential inputs.

    Review, acceptance and defects

The proposal specifies review windows and revision rounds. You can identify failures against the agreed acceptance criteria for correction; new features or changed preferences are handled through change control. We do not treat silence as acceptance in this preview. Video tutorials and the agreed handover pack are supplied. A proposed 30-day period after handover allows reporting and correction of reproducible defects against the agreed specification, without reducing statutory rights or liabilities that cannot be excluded.

Bespoke ownership and a usable handover

Your pre-existing branding, content and data remain yours or under your existing rights. The signed agreement assigns our rights in the identified bespoke code, designs and deliverables to you after the relevant agreed payments clear. We obtain the necessary rights from subcontractors. Handover includes agreed source files, setup/build instructions, account inventory, exports, licence/dependency list and video tutorials. You may use another maintainer. Any migration assistance beyond this handover is separately agreed; your own accounts are not held as leverage.

    Third-party and reusable components

Open-source packages, third-party assets, platform services and identified pre-existing studio components are not sold as exclusively owned by you. Their licences are listed before commitment. For included studio components we agree rights sufficient to run, modify and maintain the delivered project with another developer, and address transfer with the business in the signed order. Platform accounts, licences and data transfers may require provider consent. Domain registration remains subject to registrar terms and renewals. Payment processors retain their fees; ha. charges no percentage sales commission under this build offer.

Our own products are a separate offer

The bespoke build terms and website budget planner do not sell or transfer ownership of ha.’s separate software products. The goods-in demonstration is a prototype, not an available subscription. Any future product licence, service commitments, customer-data export, security, support and termination arrangements require separate terms before a purchase.

    Support, additions and running costs

Smaller agreed follow-up tasks are £60/hour. We agree the task and estimated time in writing before starting, track time and seek approval before exceeding the agreed limit. Optional monthly support, consultation and larger additions are quoted separately. We agree any monthly tasks, allowance and response arrangements in writing. Hosting, domains, storage, premium licences, store accounts, messaging, maintenance and device management are separate unless expressly included. Ownership does not include unlimited support or a permanently free-to-run service. Renewal, backup, update and incident responsibilities are agreed at handover.

    Private apps, devices and integrations

The order defines the data users may access, supported devices, distribution route, required permissions and client accounts. Private distribution may require organisational enrolment, device management, store review and fees. Hardware procurement, refurbished-device condition, warranties, setup quantities and delivery are separately agreed before purchase. Third-party API changes, outages and store decisions can affect delivery; we explain effects and agree a response rather than promise approval or universal compatibility.

    Privacy, security and operational responsibility

Real staff/customer data is introduced only after agreed security, retention, access and backup arrangements. Where we process personal data on your instructions, a suitable processing agreement covers roles, subprocessors, deletion/return and incident reporting. Staff activity reports need an appropriate lawful basis and transparent workplace information. Use synthetic data during development where possible. Automated actions have agreed permissions, escalation rules and audit records; important decisions and unrecognised product matches remain subject to human checks.

    Cancellation, delays and handover

Either party’s cancellation rights, notice and remedies are defined in the signed order. Charges are reconciled against properly completed work and approved unavoidable commitments, without double recovery; unearned amounts are returned where due. Paid-for completed deliverables and your own materials are handed over under the agreed rights. If delivery is affected by circumstances outside reasonable control, we notify you, mitigate and agree next steps; indefinite delay is not a right to keep unearned fees.

    Care, responsibility and fair limits

We will perform agreed services with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee sales, search rankings, a company valuation, uninterrupted third-party services or freedom from every security threat. Any proposed liability allocation must be reasonable, proportionate and expressly agreed for the project; this preview does not impose a blanket exclusion. Nothing excludes fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or other liability or rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

    Questions, disputes and consumer projects

Raise issues with the named project contact so we can investigate and propose a remedy. The signed order specifies complaint handling, escalation and applicable law/jurisdiction. Personal projects need suitable consumer terms, including applicable cancellation information and any valid request to start early; a digital deliverable is not automatically non-refundable. You receive the final terms and order before accepting any paid work.

These are working draft terms, not a claim of solicitor approval. Scope, tax treatment, insurance, liability terms and client-specific responsibilities require final review before a real order.
